Fru Lundgreen

Kjøpmannsgata 44
7011 Trondheim
Norway

Fru Lundgreen has a long and eventful history. The building itself was built in the 18th century, and was largely used as storage premises. Storing of potatoes, cows, alcohol and slaughter are some of the uses of the premises throughout history. At some point, in more recent times, proper flooring was laid and the bar was established.

The bar is a little over 25 years old, but the bar did not become known under the name Fru Lundgreen until 1997. Named after Mr. Lundgreen's widow, one of the first owners of the premises. Mr. and Mrs. Lundgreen ran a trading empire in Trondheim, including a liquor store. When her husband died, Mrs. Lundgreen took over and kept it going for a while longer.

In 2007, the current owner took over the bar and concert operations were initiated. The first concert was performed with TNT, and since then over 300 concerts with over 500 unique artists have been held on their stage.
