Selected concerts from the program
Door opener of the year 2022!
Our enterprising and inspiring general manager Ernst Wiggo Sandbakk yesterday received the honorable award for his work with Jazzfest and the cultural metropolis of Trondheim.
"The honor is received on behalf of the entire Jazzfest." says Ernst Wiggo. "I would like to believe that project Joyn-In is one of the reasons why Jazzfest was appointed, where our motto is "everyone should participate, no one will be voted out". Trondheim municipality has contributed additional funds over a two-year period, which has given us the muscle to make some smart moves, where we have, among other things, engaged an audience developer, established a free family day and held outreach concerts out in the field - a strengthened cultural offer for people who have been through a tough time. I am proud of what Trondheim Jazz Festival has become, both locally, nationally and internationally, and I'm really looking forward to the 35th festival this May!"
Would you like to volunteer at Jazzfest?
We invite former and new volunteers to join this year's anniversary festival! As always, Jazzfest is dependent on good helpers - the festival's outward face, who give artists and the public a nice welcome and a good concert experiences.
Tasks can be distribution, festival office, jazz shop, audience host, ticket control, artist host or transport.
As a volunteer you get: accreditation to all concerts during the festival, volunteer party, free festival t-shirt and memories for the rest of your life!
A warm welcome to the Jazzfest family!
We celebrate the release of the program in Olavshallen on 18 April
This year's program release party is dedicated to a recent concert production which has been hugely successful since its premiere in February, and which is now making its way to victory across the country.
Actor Iren Reppen has been a regular at several Norwegian theaters for a number of years. Now she is touring with yet another success: together with guitarist Håvar Langås Bendiksen and keyboardist Johannes Winther Farstad, she has formed a trio in honor of their common great hero: Terje Nilsen.
