JOYN-IN! FREE FAMILY DAY IN OLAVSHALLEN
Welcome to a new free musical family day in Olavshallen, Sunday 20th of October!
Here the children can experience different concerts, try sampling and to play instruments, see movies, draw, dance at a disco, take part of workshops and a treasure hunt, borrow a translator - and a lot more. All the dining places in Olavshallen are open.

Tuva Halse is this year's NTNU Ambassador
- It means a lot to be appointed NTNU Ambassador 2024. It was at Jazzlinja that everything started and my time here has shaped me into the musician I am today, says violinist and composer Tuva Halse.
She received the given appointment on Tuesday evening at Dokkhuset in Trondheim, in connection with the opening of Jazzfest 2024.

Interview with Sondre Ferstad
We've had a chat with composer and multi-instrumentalist Sondre Ferstad!
At this year's festival, he will premiere the audiovisual work Pieces of Wood - with phenomenal musicians and artists. The work is a tribute to the joy of creation.
He says: "In a society where we can pay our way out of most problems, we have stopped making things ourselves. I want to show how beautiful creation can be. That's why we stand on stage today and create something together, musicians and artists. Music and wood sculpture. Music in the moment and improvisation in wood carving."
