Drummer Udi Shlomo has had Trondheim as his hometown since 2010, and has been very active on the city's jazz scene with a number of different band projects. Now he is releasing his debut album Diaspora House, which combines Shlomo's original compositions - inspired by memories, images, stories and nature from his upbringing, along with new arrangements of traditional Hebrew folk music. All this colored by the experience of life in Norway, away from the roots, within the diaspora.
