Five new artists to experience at this year's Jazzfest 🙌

🎸Áhpparas is an electric power trio that lets Northern Sami joik be the driving force that sets the musical expression in motion. Experience their powerful expression at Dokkhuset Scene on May 6 at 10:00 PM!

💫 Experience cellist Anja Lechner and vocalist/saxophonist Sissel Vera Pettersen at K-U-K on Thursday, May 7 at 4:00 PM. There will be a premiere performance of new music from Jon Balke - one of Norway's most significant composers and pianists. 

💿 Saturday, May 9 at 2:00 PM, Bjørn Alterhaug Quartet celebrates its album release with an intimate concert at Antikvariatet. The album "Blame It On My Age" was stylishly recorded in one morning and allows the magic of the quartet format to be dangerously close to its very finest. 

🔊Wednesday, May 6 at At 8:00 PM you can hear Hachikō at Moskus - one of the most exciting new names on the modern jazz scene. Heavy drum breaks and bass lines hit deep and create a soundscape where jazz runs wild and hip hop grows wild. 

🎻 Diket puts a melancholic and poetic touch on Nordic folk music. On Saturday, May 9th at 8:00 PM you can hear the group up close in a room where lyrics, dynamics and presence are allowed to shine!
