Folk colleges
True to tradition, we will be visited by the Folk colleges Sund, Birka and Trøndertun during Jazzfest, and we are proud to present the future of Norwegian and Swedish jazz! This year, Lilla Björn, Många Bäckar Små, Spor 2, Lully & Gaffel i Veggen will be playing. All concerts are free and are presented in Dokkhuset Bar as a warm-up for the artists playing on Dokkhuset Scene. 

Jam sessions
True to tradition, each festival day will end with a jam session with festival artists, local musicians and phenomenal students. We invite an established artist together with a group of students to open the sessions, and this year these are Åsne Fossmark,  Brede Sørum, NTNU Ambassador Anna Ueland and Nicolas Leirtrø 😍

Film program
In collaboration with Cinemateket Trondheim and Kosmorama Trondheim International Film Festival, we are showing 5 films during Jazzfest; Exit + Året gjennom Børfjord, Let's Get Lost, Heisen til Skafottet and Sounds and Silence!

FOKUS
FOKUS is our series of masterclasses, seminars, artist meetings and conversations. Here you will meet festival artists up close, both with and without instruments, who talk about topics that interest them today. During this year's festival we present; Q&A with Anja Lechner and film screening about ECM, Q&A with ØKSE and Zaereo from Worldwide FM, Drum clinic with Savannah Harris and Electric Improvisation with Val Jeanty! FOKUS has free admission!
