Hachikō
Hachikō has quickly established themselves as one of the most exciting new names on the Norwegian modern jazz scene. With a unique blend of melodic finesse, rhythmic playfulness and an expression that is both raw, vulnerable and unpredictable, they have created a musical universe that immediately captures the audience.
The relatively new Bergen-based band's sound is characterized by contrasts. Lyrical melodies meet complex rhythms and the acoustic sound is complemented by subtle electronic elements. The result is genre-defining, modern and timeless. Heavy drum breaks and bass lines hit deep and create a soundscape where the jazz runs wild and the hip-hop grows wild.
The musicians draw inspiration from artists such as Pino Palladino, Yussef Dayes, Immanuel Wilkins, Alice Coltrane and Madlib, and deliver a journey of discovery like no other. When Hachikō plays at Moskus during Jazzfest 2026 it will be dense, heavy and raw, definately worth a visit.
