WHAT CAN I DO?
Our hosts do a lot of different tasks for the festival, and there is something for everyone. You don't need any prior experience, as long as you show a good spirit and engagement. Working hours and number of shits vary based on the different tasks. Artist hosts work longer, but fewer shifts, as an example.

Distribution
Distributors hang up posters and distribute festival newspapers and flyers around Trondheim. This job is mainly done in advance of the festival.

Transportation 
The transport team works with the transport of artists, guests, instruments and other equipment before, during and after the festival. You must have a driver's license minimum class B to work with transport.

Festival Secretariat / Jazz Shop 
Staffing of the festival secretariat - the festival's info center, and the Jazz shop. Artists, volunteers and the public come here to get information, get accreditations, buy / get tickets and shop cool Jazzfest merch.

Ticket sales / control 
The ticket hosts work with the sale and scanning of tickets at the entrance to concerts. They also check accreditation and guest lists at concerts where applicable.

Audience host 
The audience hosts keep an overview of the audience area with a focus on emergency exits. They also help with preparations and tidying up the venue, answer questions from the audience and help ensure that everyone has a good and safe concert experience.

Artist host 
The artist hosts work with general artist care and follow the artists through the festival. They must have an overview of transport, accommodation and sound check. The artist hosts are also responsible for catering on the backstage.

WHAT DO I GET? 
As a volunteer host at Jazzfest, you get memories for life, valuable experience and the opportunity to get to know the city's most beautiful people. You also get free admission to all concerts, provided there is free capacity, and a copy of this year's festival shirt. When the festival is over, we arrange a volunteer party for everyone who has contributed to the festival.
