Kurt Elling is one of today's greatest male jazz singers, and has been at the top of international polls for 15 years. With a unique and modern beat-based lyrical style, he has further developed vocal jazz and renewed its vocabulary.

Together with guitarist Charlie Hunter, with his custom-built 7- and 8-string hybrid guitars, they hold a short open sound check with the opportunity for questions from the audience.

FOCUS is Jazzfest's series of master classes, where a group of musicians of international caliber share their techniques and secrets. The events are free and open to everyone, but may take place in venues that require special access or registration.
