On May 10th from 11:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Peter Egges Plass, the public library, the Debate Stage (Olavshallen) and the Church of Our Lady will be filled with lots of fun activities and concerts for children of all ages. This year we will be joined by Flying Seagulls and a number of other great performers. And best of all - it's all free!

FLYING SEAGULLS

Join the Flying Seagulls in a whirlwind of a fabulous play universe. The magic flows freely, all fun is allowed and there is always lots of nonsense, silliness and goofyness!
Flying Seagulls are coming to JOYN-IN, and are ready to captivate young and old with their overflowing joy of life and all-consuming positive energy with lots of laughter and play. 🎪

Get ready for Null Filter, a band focused on beloved Trondheim rock!
The band was formed 10 years ago at Sjiraffen Cultural and Competence Center, a cultural center for the disabled. Over the years, the band has played an incredible number of concerts in and around Trondheim, as well as guesting at festivals in and around the country.

JACKS FUNK YOUTH BIG BAND

Jacks Funk Youth Big Band is the largest youth big band in the country with its 20 wind players, 4 vocalists and a great 6-man backing group! The 30 members of the big band come from a number of high schools in Trondheim and are aged 15-25.
Despite their young age, they have already played funk for several years, including at Moldejazz 2024 and Lillestrøm Big Band Festival 2024.
JAZZLAB

Jazzlab is the cultural school's new offering for those who want to work with jazz!
The group consists of 13 young talents aged 12-18 on vocals, trumpet saxophone, piano, guitar, vocals and drums.
During JOYN-IN they play music by the Pat Metheny Group, as well as well-known standard songs from jazz history, where they delve into role models such as Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Arnstrong.
AMELIA GÒMEZ SNERTE TRIO
📍 Rådhussalen (library)
Amelia Gómez Snerte is a young vocalist and songwriter from Hemsedal, educated at the Jazz Department in Trondheim.
She has a background in Norwegian folk music, and also draws a lot of inspiration from vocal traditions in Cuban music.
Usually you can hear her playing with her indie-jazz band Vårknipa, but for this concert she has brought Selma Edwards Granly on cello and Leo Hartmann on guitar and lapsteel!
TRØNDELAG YOUTH BIG BAND

Trøndelag Youth Big Band is Trondheim Cultural school's new venture! The band consists of talented and committed young people from all over the region who are passionate about big band music.
They focus on a mix of funk, soul and jazz, which gives the concerts a lively and committed expression.

YOUNG VOICES & LEIRBLAA

On May 10, the youth vocal ensemble Young Voices and Leirblaa will collaborate for the first time. The music they will play is based on Leirblaa's upcoming release "Drømmesky", which explores the gap between alienation and hope, fantasy and reality.
Young Voices
Young Voices is a vocal ensemble for young singers aged 16-20 from Central Norway. The ensemble works with the many joys of the voice, singing together and improvisation. Since January 2025, the leader of Young Voices has been Jakob Nordli Leirvik.

Jakob Nordli Leirvik
Leirblaa
Leirblaa plays Jakob Nordli Leirvik's songs with lyrics in the Trondheim dialect, with acoustic instruments and electronic elements. Leirblaa has been playing together since they started studying together at NTNU Jazzlinja in 2018 and has since played over 40 concerts, been on three "short-term tour projects" and recorded two albums. "Sirkel" was released on Particular Recordings in 2022, while their second album "Drømmesky" will be released in the fall of September 2025.
