The Ambassador of west coast pop!
We live in a time when the soulful and funky side of west coast pop has its renaissance amongst hipsters and trend-conscious young music fans. Surprisingly few of these seem to have noticed
that one of the world’s foremost artists of said genre is Norwegian singer, guitarist and songwriter Ole Børud.
Looking at Børud’s background it reveals a long list of musical projects through the years - as a part of the renowned Børud-family, an institution in and of itself! Being a professional musician since the age of 16, he has been part of the family gospel band Arnold B. Family, followed with some years in heavy metal with the band Extol amongst others. As a guitarist and arranger, he is one of the most in-demand studio musicians in the country, collaborating with well-known artists such as Torun Eriksen, Sofian and Oslo Gospel Choir, not to mention his contribution to the internationally acclaimed David Foster tribute album «Fly Away» (2009) where Børud shared credits with the likes of Bill Champlin and Mike Landau.
With his new album fresh from the oven, we are looking forward to see and hear Ole Børud and his band featuring a sharp horn section!
