Mette Henriette Martedatter Rølvåg receives Geir Digernes Memorial Award 2014!

  Saxophonist and band leader Mette Henriette Martedatter Rølvåg received Geir Digernes Memorial Award 2014!

Born in 1990 and hailing from Trondheim, she has a Bachelors degree from Norway Music Academy in Oslo, and has also studied at Improvisational Music in Brooklyn. She´s followed her own path from an early stage, and have had collaborations with artists like Tim Berne, Jim Black, Michael Formanek, Tom Rainey and one of out time´s most acknowledged performance artists, Marina Abramovic. In Norway she´s collaborated with amongst others the Cikada-quartet, Eirik Hegdal, Sidsel Endresen and Christian Wallumrød.
